The following instructions are appropriate if you are trying to clean futons from cat and dog urine.

Prepare the ProKlean™ Super Mattress Cleaner according to the product preparation instructions.

We suggest you place a large plastic sheet under the futon to prevent the cat and dog urine from penetrating into your carpeting and padding. You can use an old shower curtain if you have one available.

Place a new soft white absorbent cotton towel between the plastic sheet and your futon. White cotton towels are preferable as the cotton towels will make the cat and dog urine much easier to see.

Using you black light search for and memorize where your pet has urinated on your futon.

Vigorously shake the ProKlean™ Super Mattress Cleaner before applying this advanced cleaning product directly to the pet urine. We recommend the wide sprayer setting as this will ensure proper application of the futon cleaning product.

After applying the cleaner wait about fifteen minutes to allow this specialized mattress cleaning product to fully penetrate the futon and neutralize the pet urine. Smell the area to ensure that it is completely clean. You should reapply the mattress cleaner until you detect no more urine odor.

The next step involves a complete and thorough cleaning and is not intended to hide or otherwise conceal the pet urine.

Gravity has been your ally as it pulled the ProKlean™ Super Mattress Cleaner completely thru the futon. Look at the white absorbent cotton towel. It should now be saturated with pet urine. Place the soiled cotton towel in a pail and replace it with a fresh clean absorbent white cotton towel.

When you are satisfied with one side of the futon turn the futon over. Look carefully at where the urine came thru. Shake and apply the ProKlean™ Super Mattress Cleaner to the soiled pet urine soaked areas.

Wait approximately fifteen minutes for the ProKlean™ Super Mattress Cleaner to completely process and clean the cat or dog urine from each side of your futon.

Check your white absorbent cotton towel when it is completely free of any urine you are done. Allow the futon to completely air dry. The time necessary for drying will vary depending on how much cat or dog urine you treated and how much of the ProKlean™ Super Mattress Cleaner you had to apply.
