The following instructions are appropriate in you are cleaning cat urine or dog
urine from a
leather sofa, leather couch, leather recliners or a leather sectional.
If you have applied any type of
leather conditioner or waterproofing agent to your leather furniture we suggest
you review the solutions page.
If you have already used any
other cleaning products or home remedies we recommend the Urine Pooling product first to chase
out the ineffective cleaning products followed by the ProKlean™ Leather Cleaner.
Product and
environment preparation are very important so we recommend that you review our
product preparation instructions before embarking on your leather cleaning
project. The same rules that apply to the ProKlean™ Leather Cleaner and the
Urine Pooling product also apply
to your expensive leather furniture. Ensure that the furniture is at the
recommended operating temperature. This process will yield the very best
results.
Make sure you set the
sprayer correctly for best results.
Bring out your black
light. If you don’t own one visit your local Home Depot. They have an excellent
assortment of General Electric black lights.
Now remove the leather
cushions. Using your black light sweep the cushions
carefully with a back and forth motion searching for the cat urine or dog urine. The urinated
areas will fluoresce yellow when exposed to the black light.
ProKlean™ products are odorless the more urine you are dealing with the stronger the odor that will be released upon application. This verifies the product is working and will dissipate quickly.
If
you have already used any other type of cleaning product or home remedy you
should start by applying the Urine Pooling product first followed by the Leather
Cleaner.
Do not remove or otherwise wipe off the Urine
Pooling or Leather Cleaner but allow the products to penetrate and clean your
Leather Furniture.
Spray the ProKlean™
Leather Cleaner or Urine Pooling product directly onto the cat urine or dog urine affected cushions as soon as you
discover it. Repeat this process until you are satisfied that you have
discovered and treated all of the cat urine or dog urine.
We suggest you remove the
inner foam and check for hidden cat urine or dog urine. Spray as necessary to ensure a
complete and thorough job.
If you cannot remove the foam
from your leather cushions then spray the urinated areas and let gravity pull
the product into the cushions for ten minutes. Repeat the process by turning the leather cushions over
and spraying the other side, allowing gravity to complete the process of drawing
the Leather Cleaner or the Urine Pooling product into the center of the Leather
Cushions.
Now let’s focus on that
expensive leather sofa. From years of experience we can advise that cats love to
urinate in the creases of the leather furniture.
Now sweep your black
light slowing over one section then another. We suggest you spray the affected
areas as soon as you discover them with the ProKlean™ Leather Cleaner. This will
ensure that you don’t forget any area as you embark on this project.
These instructions also
apply equally to your leather couch, leather recliner and expensive leather
sectional.
If
you want to achieve the results documented on this website we suggest
you carefully review and follow these instructions. If you have an issue
understanding these instructions we suggest you contact us via email
before placing your order.
